Weavers Cottage Self Catering Islay is situated in the village of Keills just a few minutes from the Ferry Terminal at Port Askaig.

Originally built in the 18th Century as a Weavers Cottage, the house has been extensively renovated in the last couple of years whilst still remaining a family home.

Boasting stunning views down the Sound of Islay towards Kintyre, Weavers Cottage is ideally placed for the Finlaggan Visitor Centre, Bunnahabhain, Caolila and the soon to be built Ardnahoe Distillery. The house is fully equipped with all you need to make it a home from home. The garden in front of the house is perfect to sit in and while away the hours in the sun.

Walking through the property, there is a main living area with flat screen TV and wireless internet. Enjoy entertaining with a large Kitchen/Dining room, and has an additional kitchenette with Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Freezer and Cooker. Downstairs also has a bath and integrated shower.

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, one being a master that has a double bed and a cot, the other has a double bed and two singles. The bedrooms can sleep 6 adults comfortably.

Ideal for families, Catherine has put together all the finer touches, meaning you can pack light. Coat hangers, hair dryers, iron, TV and washing machine.

We had a fantastic stay at Weavers Cottage, the place is lovely – very warm, cosy, spacious and clean, and pet friendly. Catherine is super friendly and a great host – we asked to stay very last minute after bailing out of camping (gale force winds & heavy rain) and Catherine responded instantly to our request saying it would be fine. Home made fudge on arrival and great visitors book of local walks / attractions / recommended restaurants etc, and Catherine is just next door and was happy to advise on anything. The kitchen has all the utensils you’d ever need to cook a feast, and overall it was just a great place to come back to after a day out walking in the rain or distillery hopping 🙂 thanks again Catherine!
