Overscapa Cottage Orkney is a distinctive new cottage full of traditional character overlooking Scapa Flow. Ideally situated in a rural countryside location with beautiful panoramic views, yet only 1 mile from Kirkwall.
Accommodation
The cottage has been thoughtfully designed to provide the option of two to four bedrooms, so whether you are a family seeking spacious accommodation, or holidaying with friends, 4 to 8 people can be comfortably accommodated.

The spacious main livingroom is at the heart of the cottage with doors to private patio area where you can relax after a days exploring and watch the sun set over Wideford hill. The generous fully fitted kitchen/dining area allows up to eight people to dine in comfort whilst enjoying the views over Scapa Flow. A real fire, the local flagstone floor warmed by an environmentally friendly heat pump, and traditional features create a special ambiance.
An attractive design feature is the layout of the four bedrooms. Two bedroom areas, each with double and twin bedroom adjacent to a bathroom/shower room, makes the cottage ideal for the extended family or if you are holidaying with friends. The cottage is fully equipped with Broadband Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, DVD and Hi Fi with ipod dock. An Orkney welcome pack awaits you on your arrival.

Overscapa Cottage Orkeny Terms and Conditions
General
The rates are per property and are fully inclusive of electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, baby equipment and cleaning materials etc.
Minimum Stay
A complimentary Orkney welcome pack is provided.
Minimum stay is three nights.
Reservations
All reservations are confirmed with a 30% non- refundable deposit.
The balance is to be paid at least 6 weeks before your arrival.
If booking falls within 30 days of intended date of arrival, payment in full should be enclosed with confirmation of booking.

Arrival/Departure Times
Cottages will be available from 3pm on arrival day until 10am on day of departure. Alternative times by arrangement.
Cancellations
If you have to cancel your reservation before the balance is due, please contact us immediately and if we can re-let cottage we will refund you.
Pets
Sorry, no pets are allowed in the accommodation.
Smoking Policy
Our properties are all non-smoking.

Things To Do
Simply enjoy relaxing at the cottage. Or take a leisurely walk along the nearby sandy beach to the pier, or the scenic cliff top walk to the famous Scapa distillery. Study the birdlife, seals and maybe even spot an otter on the way. In the evening stroll into Kirkwall to dine and sample the local fare, or enjoy some traditional music.
The central location of the cottage is ideal for most things available in Orkney whether your interest is walking, cycling, touring, fishing or golf. In Kirkwall visit the St Magnus Cathedral, museums, and other historic sites. Alternatively browse through the local shops and the bustling old harbour area.
