This is ideal for history lovers as the cottage is close to the main archaelogical sites in Orkney.

Four miles from Stromness which has a good range of restaurants and cafes, and is close to the main archaeological sites and the World Heritage Site in Stenssess.

Stenness is central to mainland Orkney  and is close to the Hoy ferry terminal. Orkney has many points of interest to explore across its 22 islands so more than one visit may be required.

The cottage enjoys a lovely 180 degree view out over the Hoy Sound and the town of Stromness and the Hoy Hills beyond with Scapa Flow to the left.  This view is available from the lounge and the sun porch.

The garden is laid to grass and there is plenty of parking.
